YOU

The other day I took my high school sweetheart Davey Kaye's, 80 year old mother, Sue Kaye, to the farmer's market where John was playing for the crowd.  When I was younger, Suey, a very cool lady, was very influential to me in fashion & design.  In the 70's she was way ahead of the fashion curve, she had a fake "fanny" to put in her britches to fill them out (apparently, Jewish ladies don't have much of a butt!  Who knew!?)
What a very cool evening I had sitting out in the parking lot of the Northridge Mall listening to John, Tara & Jime & eating "Fairway" food with one of my favorite people, Suey.  We couldn't believe it, when we realized that 34 years ago we spent the day together at the Ohio State Fair.  Time flies by so quickly!
As we were leaving, I noticed that while Suey was walking with an aid of a walker, being the consummate fashionista that she is, was also wearing pumps!    Never stop being you!

So when I'm old...er... in my 80's what will I be doing, wearing my Chuck Taylors with my walker?  Maybe a fuchsia stripe with my grey hair?  I do know I will be wearing my jeans!  (and no, Nancy, I'm not giving up my LEVIS to you!)

I saw Tracy Newman and The Reinforcements the other nite and as always she was awesome!  She GOT me with her song, "I Just See You".  There I was in the second row, sitting in front of her crying like a baby, I couldn't look at John, I would cry more.  Here listen for yourself...

Thank you, Julie. Yes, you were bawling like a baby and I loved it!
